When you purchase one of our tours, we supply everything you’ll need on your adventure. The instructions vary a little depending on the experience and route in question, but in general you’ll get:

GPS directions, so you’ll always know where you are and where to turn next.

A printed map, to aid, entertain, and inform you.

Selected stories, myths, and legends, which pertain to your specific route.

A good time!

We’ll leave the choice of transportation up to you – you can travel by car, by bike (electric or otherwise), or even on foot. You can also combine multiple methods.

Tip: For the best experience, we recommend a tour by bike – electric, preferably, as there’s a fair few slopes. We can provide these too.
You follow the path and discover its historical contex
You can set off whenever you like, keeping in mind that if your package includes a culinary experience, you’ll need to confirm your arrival date in advance. For digital navigation we recommend the app Komoot, which does a fine job keeping you on the route and making sure you experience it as it was intended. You can, of course, choose to use your own preferred app instead – we’ll customise the instructions to suit your preferences.
The route is designed to lead you from point to point along the best path, but detours aren’t a problem – we’d even say they’re part of the process. :) In addition to those spur-of-the-moment diversions off the main route, each of our tours also includes tips for locations we think may be of interest to you. These locations appear in the stories and challenges that our printed maps will guide you through, each of which is based in local myths, legends, and everyday ways of life.

How it works
Self-guided tours allow you to set out on a journey of discovery on your own or in the company of your loved ones. We’ve done the legwork for you and compiled detailed instructions, researched and recorded local folktales, and logged your route in a mobile app. We’ve also added a few challenges along the way, to make the journey even more fun. All that’s left is for you to experience it!
Who it’s for
Our tours are journeys of discovery, and they’re therefore appropriate for everyone guided by a sense of curiosity. For people, young and old, who want to learn about local myths, legends, and superstitions. For people who want to combine their lazy days on the beach with unique experiences. For people who hate boredom and have no time for guidebooks. In other words—they’re for goats, and not for sheep!
